Crime Prevention
CAN WE FIND YOU IN AN EMERGENCY?
Can we find your address in an emergency? Is your address posted at the front of your house where Police, Fire, or EMS responders can see it?
Address numbering for your home should be readily visible to any emergency responder. Bexar County 911 and Shavano Park Police recommend that numerals used to mark your address follow these simple guideline:
-
Use 3"- 5" numerals
-
Contrasting color to the background;
-
Conspicuously posted, i.e. mailbox, driveway entrance, or front of house
-
Post on both sides of mailbox for visibility from either direction
