RESERVE POLICE OFFICER
The City of Shavano Park Police Department has an opening for a reserve police officer. Candidates for this position must be 21 years or age or over, possess a TCOLE Basic Peace Officer certificate, must be insurable, and must be able to pass a written entrance level examination, physical assessment, comprehensive background investigation, psychological assessment, and medical examination.
Job Description: Must be flexible and able to work a minimum of 24 hours per month. Must possess a valid Texas Peace Officer's License. The strong candidate will have at least two (2) years of law enforcement experience, and police field training or other leadership experience is preferred, however no prior police experience is required. This position requires investigation of criminal offenses; community outreach; preparing and presenting criminal cases; traffic accident investigation; and responding to emergency calls and calls for police service. Other duties include participating in specialized investigations; providing field training, and completing other duties as assigned.
